Areas for improvement - Whnau Ora Navigator referrals timeframe to be allocated to a Navigator: Last year I sent a referral in November for a Navigator & a Navigator wasn't put in place until about Jan/February following multiple phone calls, visits in person & leaving feedback at reception. Positives: Once the Navigator was put in place, she did an exceptional job, she was supportive, informative, wise, caring, understanding, encouraging, extremely helpful, and provided relevant & useful resources. I am hopeful that following the feedback given that contingency plans were put in place to prevent delays with referral allocations in future. Another service of theirs that provides support with kai and other resources when people are unwell & unable to leave home, do an exceptional job and exceeded expectations with what they provided. Their generosity, support and assistance makes a massive positive difference in people's lives. Overall, Mt Waka do an amazing job especially once people are linked to their support person.
