This used to be our chippie of choice a few years ago. In fact it won a small competition we held in my office for the best chips in Nelson. Well, the chips are still pretty good, although a little too greasy for my taste. They were fresh and salted nicely although perhaps a little over cooked. I ordered 2 pieces of fish of the day (blue warehou) , and as you can see in the photos, they are a little smaller than you would get elsewhere. I did also order some bluff oysters and they were fresh and delicious and cooked beautifully. Even with these minor complaints, this is still one of the best fish and chips shops in town, and the locale is perfect on a nice sunny day. Grab a scoop and a fish and go sit on the wharf and watch the boats come and go! Worth it.
