The Nelson clinic

Seeking psychological assistance my original inquiry was treated well by Jill Harris/Tom Levien. At that time I was unable to pursue Tom's recommendation for assistance. Following a change in my circumstances I felt able to consider psychotherapy and approached the clinic and was directed to Peter Johnson. After what seemed like a sympathetic preliminary consultation I was advised that he would pass my details on to one of his colleagues to contact me. Eight weeks later and after chasing Peter up I have heard nothing. It is insensitive, let alone unethical, to treat psychologically vulnerable people in such a manner. Unfortunately my extensive experience with this profession makes the paucity of this experience unsurprising.

This is a safe place to talk about traumatic things that may have happened to you and the emotional distress this has caused, without feeling judged or being given a label. I would very highly recommend Peter Johnson and recommend the Nelson Clinic to anyone wanting support after experiencing a brain injury or sexual assault.
