Riverlodge Motel Nelson

I stayed 3 days in Nelson in December 2022 and would highly recommend the Riverlodge Motel. The room was clean, spacious, with all the amenities you would want during a short stay. The location is perfect for walking around the gardens or into town. Don't miss the Saturday market in town, it was large with a variety of stalls. I found the location convenient as we were headed North to Abel Tasman National Park, only a couple of hours away by car.

I traveled with friends from the U.S. and found motel a perfect launch spot to explore the South Island. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The location is great to explore area from great restaurants to easy walks along river. Nelson is a lively town with fun weekend markets. The owners, Jon and Edie, were very welcoming and knowledgeable about fun bike rides and hikes close by.

I had the good fortune to spend four nights at Riverlodge Motel. The room was so clean, comfortable and well maintained and owners Edie and Jon were so pleasant and helpful that I'm more than happy to recommend this motel to anyone considering staying in Nelson. As a bonus, the location is only a short walk from the central city and all it offers.
