    I think it's the top halfday ride in New Zealand. Stunning bush, incredible views, instant isolation so close to the city, such a long fun downhill.

    Nice gentle climb from the car park at campsite all the way to the saddle. Can be muddy in places and has a few springs to cross, nothing major. Certainly breezy at the top so make sure you have a windbreaker with you. Downhill section is rocky but loads of fun and certainly worth the climb. Lots of picturesque options so make sure you stop and take in the views.
