Excellent store in Nelson, MD Outdoors is a life saver - had an assortment of gear for a few impromptu tent repairs. Friendly and has a store doggo who likes ear scritches. What more could you ask for?

This is an outdoor shop like I remember how they used to be. Good, specialised equipment from a number of manufacturers and staff that really know what they are talking about and concerned that you get suitable gear for you and what you want to use it for. Emily is enthusiastic, outgoing, persistent, and makes decisions based on what your needs are. When she sees that she will follow something up, she does. Emily is worth a half-dozen of the staff of most of other shops.

I needed some new hiking boots and waterproofs when I was visiting Nelson and Emily was really knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Ive been using the boots for the last month on some epic hikes in NZ and they have been awesome. Highly recommend!
