Come here for the beer or the oysters but dont stay for the mains. Food was unremarkable, small portion sizes yet priced at standard sizes, the French waiter was nice, the rest were impersonal. The presentation of the market fish was the most unappealing weve seen in NZ.

Updated review: just finished bouncing around the US for three weeks eating and dining looking for anything as yummy and fun as Urban. Three weeks later I was bloated and sick of all we tried craving an URBAN evening! Over the jet lag and popped in for dinner and drinks! Great service, atmosphere lively and fun, food so good, and the beers so great! Just feel bad for all those in the US that can't experience this amazing experience! Cheers!

Calming ambience and lovely Asian style tapas plates. Oysters were amazing and three times the size of Sydney Rock Oysters. We really enjoyed Urban Oyster Bar and Eatery, the service was spot on and the whole place as very chilled after our ferry crossing from North Island and the drive from Picton to our campsite. Vegetarian options: Roasted Egg Plant was fantastic!
