Apex Car Rentals Nelson Airport

We booked a car at Nelson Airport. We received a modern car in excellent condition. Apex had super friendly staff. Shuttle service was easy and quick. One of the easiest and friendliest rental car experiences ever. I can totally recommend Apex in Nelson.

Had a disappointing experience with Apex. Picked up the car from Christchurch branch, which is nice and smooth, the service was great. Returned the car at Nelson branch, however we left our lighter USB adapter in the car and asked them if they can arrange sending it back to Christchurch apex. We are told the parcel fee is $20, but a domestic post fee for a small object with NZ post only costs probably $5. We called back to ask again, they then said for lost property return, they charge a $25 process fee plus parcel fee, so its more expensive than before. The staff then send me an email showing the policy, however it is a document without any company signage on it and it also refers to Australia region. The adapter is not an expensive thing, but weve already spend hundreds dollars on the rental car, so expecting a customer service better than that.. I feel like the so called lost property policy here is to charge $25 and drive customers away when they forget stuff behind that is not important and avoid any extra work for themselves , they did not go a single extra mile for customers.
