ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - STAY AWAY! - Conroy were paid to pack down our house the day before the move but sent only 1 packer, who lied to us and then left after 5 minutes without a word. He told us the rest of his team were sick with COVID. - Conroy management told us the packer had refused the job due to 'health and safety concerns'. The house was safe. The job was impossible for 1 person in a day. He came from a job half an hour before (at 9:00am) and went straight to another job. It's obvious Conroy were trying to cover for staffing shortages by lying to and blaming customers to avoid their own liability for rescheduling. - After we managed to somehow pack everything down ourselves in time for the move, they underestimated the volume of stuff by 30% (despite having an itemised list and a walk-through). Leaving us without a fridge for 3 weeks over xmas while the Nelson team waited for another delivery going in our direction. - The uplift team took great care to wrap furniture and load items for the first couple of hours but as soon as the end of the day was drawing near just started throwing boxes and items marked 'fragile' onto the pile of stuff, resulting in several breakages. - Similar happened when the stuff was unloaded. The team are friendly and ask where to put boxes for the first hour or so and then decide "time's up" and dump everything in a pile in the middle of the first room. - After the final delivery with the leftover items, I noticed that two 4k monitors that belong to my employer were missing from the delivery. It took over a week of phone calls and emails before Conroys staff finally accepted that they were missed and started looking. It was a month and a half after we moved before they finally showed up. - We have asked multiple times to be refunded for the $1479 we paid upfront for Conroys to pack the contents of our house, which they did not do, but they completely ignore our requests. Do not trust this company. They are irresponsible, unprofessional, and will take your money and then lie to your face rather than accept responsibility for their issues.

We went with conroys after a few people recommended them. This was our first professional move. We got a quote from conroys to move our household from northland to blenheim, which we were happy with. we packed our own stuff and the service from conroys covered bubble wrapping of tvs, furniture to be wrapped in blankets, beds and sofas in plastic covers, unload into rooms. The crew who arrived to uplift were friendly, all our stuff was ready in the garage apart from a few pieces of furniture, for them to load. Couches were thrown in with just a blanket over them, beds and matresses no protection at all, tvs were wrapped in a blanket, not bubble wrap and we were told to take the 2 smaller tvs with us.. 2/3rds of the way through loading, they ran out of blankets, the rest of our things were thrown in unprotected, I gave them a couple of covers I had laying around. On arrival in blenheim 3 crew turned up to unload, one walked off after 10mins. My husband and I had to help unload. The load had moved which you can expect, but with items not protected, things got damaged. I put in a claim and was expected to pay the excess. I said I wasn't paying the excess as everything that was damaged, was so, due to insufficient packing on their part. I paid for a service which I did not receive, and the outcome was items were damaged. Everything I packed, was still intacked. I did get my excess back, but no partial refund on the service I paid for. Very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend. The crew at the blenheim were great.

We had only problems with this company, our moving was a nightmare. They didn't communicate between the branches from Whangarei to Nelson. Always asking our address, didn't communicate the information we gave us, for instance, for a drop off, they didn't use a blanket to protect a table as we asked, we told them there were some flooding in our area, so the truck could be stuck and they didn't care, so the truck couldn't pass. No answer from email or voice mails. Pick up and drop off at different days we planned without communicating on the delays. Lots of our belongings were broken ; pictures, fishing cane, broom, bed, shoes rack....At the drop off, most of our items were not labelled and the manager had to review them.
