We knew we were in the right place when we saw the stunning view from the balcony and fresh flowers in the room.
I swam everyday. We took an official tramp across the bay and over the hills and out to the water. We saw our bay and the neighboring bay. Spectacular. The entire area is isolated, so you can be out with nature.
Hosts Vickie and Rodger were so warm, welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were plentiful and fabulous. Several nights Vickie and Rodger cooked thoughtful, great dinners reasonably priced. We drank wine some from grapes grown on their land and talked on a myriad of subjects. They like people. As greenhorns (American slang?), we got a wonderful opportunity to learn about New Zealand and New Zealanders. We even got a tour of the farm! We highly recommend Waiwurrie.
