        Never ever drive past this rest stop. Walk the beach. Breathe deeply. Imagine how life might be if you could teleport yourself to this magic beach whenever stress rears it's ugly head.

        Absolutely beautiful spot to stop and take a breather from driving or just to take in the scenery. Lovely white sand, natural clean beach, easy for swimming, public recreational park and toilet but definitely no camping allowed here. Very popular beach in summer, advise getting there early if you want to spend the day there and set up a gazebo. No shops here but 15 min drive to Matauri Bay Top Shop for take a ways and the Blue Bar next door for meals and a cold beer or glass of wine.
