Waitapu Estate Vineyard

Waitapu Estate is a beautiful and very special place. Wine is the star of the show but just one delicious part of the story. Fabulous independent family-run vineyard. Great wine tasting that felt felt like going to visit an old friend. We will return! Eric is an incredible host and raconteur, so glad we called in.

Fantastic wine tasting experience. Lovely wine (particularly enjoyed all the reds). Great scenery, with a bit of an explanation of the views, and really welcoming and engaging hosts. Recommend dropping in.

Excellent place to stop in. Eric is friendly the wines very nice and fairly priced. You also get thrown in a fantastic view and some delicious water is on offer. Wine recommendation is the dolce vita

Their website doesn't do them justice, my partner and I stopped in here during the long weekend and Eric was a great host we had a lovely old chat tasting some amazing reds that I have been waiting for!! The pinotage and syrah were to die for! And there vineyard/home was beautiful the perfect picture.

Wow!!! This was the best wine tasting experience we have had! Eric was so friendly and made us feel really welcome from the get go - his love of life, travel stories, and knowledge of wine turned everything into an amazing experience! The wines and port were absolutely delicious - we would 100% recommend making a stop here, you won't regret it!! Thanks again Eric for making our day, and for the special treat you gave us for my birthday, it went down swimmingly well with our dinner! We'll be back!
