Absolutely Beautiful Hiking Trail. A not so touristy trail but yet very magical. You can really take your time on the trail, there are a lot of resting places and benches on the trail which is not very common in NZ. On the trail you can marvel at 20+ waterfalls and some majestic old trees. The waterfall path and the tree path are already challenging enough and take at least 2 hours (with breaks).

Great walking track with lots of different trails. We walked up the falls track and down the Puriri track. The Puriri track has an amazing view of the walls from far away and a beautiful giant Puriri tree. Both tracks have heavy damage from cyclone Gabrielle, downed trees and slides, but were walkable. Impressed by how much work has already been done to make the track accessible. Small parking lot and no washrooms.
