I booked in for fitting of the towbar. Despite having the car dropped off at 8am on the day I was not informed until 2:30pm that the towbar parts had not arrived and it would have to be rebooked another day I booked in over a month ago and called on 29 March to change the date by pushing it back a week until 28 April. And called again last week to confirm the booking. I was relying on this to be done today as I had a trailer to pick up to load a sailing dinghy onto on 29 April. Their failure to secure the part is inexplicable and unacceptable given the amount of time you had to secure the necessary parts

I was told by another mechanic that my car needed a power steering pump but they couldnt get the part so I went to Pitstop, they ordered the pump and I paid them almost $700 first before the work was done, they booked me in and took my car in and waited only to be told that the guy couldnt put the pump in because it needed hoses so I left without my car being Fixed, And on top of that something was purposely done to my engine because when I left and I was driving home I heard a ticking noise and my car started stalling, I managed to get home but the next day I tried to start my car and my engine wouldnt run and kept cutting out which its never done before until I left Pitstop, paid $700 for nothing and now my car doesnt run anymore, Im just devastated.
