The Parrot Place

Its a Bird Display & Breeding Centre that hosts approximately 300 birds from all around the world! Took my nieces & nephew (aged between 3 - 6) and they loved the whole experience of having either a baby cockatiel or parakeet perched on their arm & feeding the other 'parrot friends' they met as they explored the various aviaries! Final stop-off before we left was the kids playground that they have onsite & there's a small kiosk where they sell icecreams & cold drinks too!

We came here not knowing what to expect and had a great time. The staff that we interacted with clearly cared very deeply about the well-being of the birds here. I dont know much about how much space a bird needs to live, but given that most of these birds were relocated here from peoples homes after they pass away, it seemed like the attention and size of cages the birds received were much better than what theyd get in a house. Still made me feel a bit uneasy seeing them all in cages with clipped wings, but thats not the companys fault! It was nice to see how much the employees knew about each bird and how much they cared for them. Didnt see or interact with the owners - it is a bit of a funny setup in that the whole thing is basically in their front yard.
