Like Rainbow Falls a bit farther north, this is a stunning classic freefall that is extremely easy to access. Located just a few minutes outside of the town center of Whangarei, the 76-meter waterfall is simply breathtaking. A large parking area with toilets is provided , and a perfect view from the left side is only steps away. You can cross a footbridge just meters above the brink (be careful!), then a well-groomed foot path takes you to an upper side view and then more steeply down to a footbridge with a perfect frontal view. Paths continue along the river (quite muddy during our visit) as well as along the cliffs above. There is no entry fee. This is a gorgeous place and there is no charge to see it. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) It seems to have made the scenery even more spectacular because of the heavy rain. (Original) .
