Carrington Estate

WE paid almost $400 for a room, which was nice and spacious with a nice view. However when we went to run a bath or shower the water that came out of the tap was brackish brown. We tried several times with the same result. There is a Health & Safety issue here. We couldn't brush out teeth, shower or bath. This is totally unacceptable

We stayed at Carrington Resort for 3 nights to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant in charge, a middle aged big woman was extremely rude. She changed our booking to 8.30pm inspite of the restaurant having only 3 tables booked at the original time of 7pm. When we arrived at 8.30, she kept us waiting for over 20 minutes pretending to work on a computer, before showing us our table ! Having owned restaurants and hotels, I can honestly say she is a total disgrace to Hospitality ! Our entrees took over an hour to arrive. When we enquired with the woman she said she will check with the Chef and didnt get back to us. When the food finally arrived, the fish was raw and the chowder barely had 3 tablespoons per serving ! We ordered some food and soups for room service on the first night we arrived and the empty dishes were not cleared for the entire time we were there for 3 nights ! We reminded them every single day to clear the dishes and our entire room stunk with the smell of stale food for our entire stay ! We are always travelling around New Zealand as well as around the world to France, USA, Singapore and this will definitely be Hands Down the worst service we have ever experienced in our lifetime! We will definitely not recommend Carrington Resort to anyone !
