Great place, town only a close drive away for food. And close as to the beach. Lots of people driving on the beach with vehicles so you can feel a bit left out if you dont have one haha. Easy people to deal with and really considerate. Great cheap place to camp in summer if you want to explore up north too! Can be noisy around New Years tho and was very windy when we were there and our tent fell down unfortunately.

If youre looking for a real camping atmosphere, with views of 90 mile beach to wake up to, then look no further! This is a beautiful place to camp and cheap! porta loo and shower facilities available. Was our 1st time here and the best place so far that we have camped at since our camping holiday around Tai Tokerau. Recommended highly for all campers. Probably best if you have 4WD vehicles to access the beach from campsite. Great camp host when arriving, drove us to the campsite & explained everything in regards to facilities. Will definitely be a regular here. Nga Mihi Nui Te Wairoa Camp see you again.
