        This Lodge is Luxury Plus. Lou is a remarkable host, always looking for little ways to provide something extra. Both the East and West wings are wonderful and well equipped for thoughtful comfort. The pool and spa are beautiful. We didnt have great weather but suggestions on places to visit allowed for warm and sunny adventures . Cape Reinga was an easy full day trip and so too was the visit much closer to home to Opononi and the Kauri forest. We would recommend Ake Ake winery for a delicious meal. Lou also provided her bbq option on one of our nights and this was a real treat. So many things to do and see close by with Keri Keri, Paihia and Waitangi so close. Great friends in the other Wing made for a wonderful holiday. Many thanks to Lou and Norm - Im sure we will see you again! Vivienne and Brian
