Loved staying overnight at Wairere Boulders Campsite. The boulders, bush & stream are beautiful to walk around. We camped in the neighbouring paddock. You can have a motorhome on a gravel patch or tents on the grass. The farmer is lovely to talk to. I could listen to his accent all day. We enjoyed the cycle trail. Rode from Horeke to Okaihau return. Beautiful scenery through farmland.

Beautiful walk and a nice spot to camp. Owners have worked really hard on the walk and the geology is incredibly impressive. Well worth the trip there!

I only did the boulder loop as I was short on time, it took me 30-40 mins. There's lots of info about local fauna and flora. The campsite also looked like a good spot.

I wasnt expecting much when we turned off to visit the Wairere boulders. I was totally blown away by what a beautiful little spot this is. The walk is great, some steps and uneven ground but the kids enjoyed how exciting it was seeing lots of chasms and fairy houses along the way. Would definitely recommend as a place to stop in the far north.
