Haka Lodge Bay of Islands (Paihia)

There was never someone at the reception, we couldn't ask any questions. They put us on late check-in even though we did arrive during regular hours, and told us to show up the next day to complete Check-In but no one showed up at reception at the opening hour. The dorm we got was tiny and we could barly move, not even close to the pictures online. Facilities are ok and clean.

For 10 dollars more I could have had a small kitchenette and off street parking. My mistake. Apart from that the room was small but comfortable as was the bed. Shower and onsuite was clean. Nothing you could call a view from the room I had. Good if you have no choice but if you can book somewhere else and get more bank for your buck.
