        Stopped in on a whim. What a beautiful spot. Had a great tasting of their whites. Took home some of the unoaked Viogniers. They are excellent.

        We booked a wine tasting at Dancing Petrel very last minute - which was very conveniently facilitated via text - and it ended up being a real highlight of our time in Mangonui. David was a fantastic host, taught us a lot about the wines we were tasting, shared about the history of the vineyard and the rebrand to Dancing Petrel, and just all round treated us to a fantastic afternoon. The location could not be better, with spectacular views to the harbour and a very comfortable place to spend a couple of hours - and the wines were all delicious!
