Henipapa Lodge & Cottage

Henipapa lodge and cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is perfect for large groups who can still have 3 separate living areas with the main house, downstairs and the cottage as well. It is in a great location, close to the main town in Russell. James the host, was so accommodating and helpful with plenty of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Would highly recommend.

What a magical spot. Henipapa is like being cocooned in native bush that feels a million miles away but youre just a few minutes walk into the heart of Russell. The main house has stunning views of the water, while the cottage is like being in a tree house and native birds roam the property. Both are beautifully fitted out and invite you to put your feet up and relax from the minute you walk in. Jimmy is a fantastic host with a genuine passion for ensuring his guests enjoy themselves. Well definitely be back.

I have stayed here twice already and can't get enough of this place. I love that it has a private feel to it, yet it's so close to the main centre of Russell. The house itself is surrounded by native bush with enough sun through the day. The view of Russell's Bay from the deck is absolutely stunning. You can also enjoy it all day long from the living room where the fireplace keeps you nice and warm! That was my favourite spot. All other rooms have a beautiful feel to them and are super clean. The kitchen also has a stunning position in the house - it allowed me, my mates and my family to socialise every evening while whipping up a good meal. Jimmy as a host was so accommodating and made everyone feel like at home. I would recommend this spot to anyone in a heartbeat.
