So fun! Weve done sandboarding in Colorado USA too, and it was more fun here. Easier hiking up and a smoother ride down. Board rentals right in the parking lot from 10:30-6:00 every day (not sure about winter hours). Once you rent your boards, you go across a river and up a small hill, and there will be a medium hill off to your left, with a daunting giant hill (the highest you can see) behind it. GO TO THE GIANT HILL! Not only is it much easier to continually climb back up the giant hill than it is to climb back up the medium hill between runs (stay on the left ridge and youll cruise right on up), but the ride down was smoother and longer - way more fun!! If its extremely hot and sunny, you may want socks for the hot sand, and if its windy you may want goggles to keep sand out of the eyes. You can rent both in the parking lot as well. Even on a calm day, at least having sunglasses helps keep the random bits of sand from getting in your eyes and ruining your day. Bring water out there with you - easy to just drop that and anything else you want with you at the base of whichever hill you choose to ride.
