        I often visit Columbus Coffee within Mitre 10. Normally its been enjoyable, but today I was very disturbed by the way a staff member treated an elderly and obviously frail couple. The issue was over vaccination passes which could have been easily solved if the staff member had used some empathy and compassion. The staff member showed no respect for this poor elderly couple. Even though the food is ok, I will never return. I have been contacted by Columbus Coffee head office after leaving this review. To their credit they were concerned and wanted to make a positive difference. Hopefully they will follow through. Follow up: 29 July 2022, after a short shutdown, Columbus Coffee have reopened with a whole new welcoming atmosphere. Hats off to management and staff who have all stepped up to make this a place people will want to visit while shopping in Mitre 10, Kerikeri. Well done everyone..
