Been seeing Chloe and team for some years now since I needed more than a cheap pair of Warehouse glasses. Upgraded to an extra pair but because I had tried on with my mask - i ended up with unsuitable ones. Took them back and was very pleased that they spent some extra time to ensure I left with more suitable glasses that fitted perfectly. Having been sucked in by the Spec savers advert for supposedly cheaper glasses, I recommend seeing locally owned businesses like this for the personal service. Glasses aren't cheap and you get what you pay for. Given you will wear them for many hours, get the best you can. Thanks Chloe and team

I am a first time customer at Waipapa Eyecare. I received my glasses about 8 days after examination which i thought was very quick. Chloe provides and excellent no fuss service. She nailed my irksome requirements and i am now the owner of GREAT GLASSES with NO vision problems. I say irksome because over the years its been a bit of a challenge for me getting progressive glasses which don't present vision problems for me after receipt. Last opticians i had to get 3 lens changes before they were suitable and the time before that ( at a different optician again) 2 lens changes!! It would be good to see is a wider range of spectacle frames as i feel the styles are quite limited for men. It was this lack of styles which led me to choose another optometrist last time.

In September 2021 I went to Waipapa Eyecare for an eye examination that I felt was due. The quoted cost was $85. So far I was only using $ shop reading glasses. The optometrist Chloe Lovell was mentioning the renewal requirements of my driving license at age 80 in several years time, and recommended the purchase of spectacles with single vision lenses to improve my eyesight in the distance. I then purchased immediately those glasses in a standard frame for an additional $185. I now can confirm that there is a slight improvement of my vision wearing these glasses. I do not feel comfortable wearing them continuously, but keep them in the car in case I am driving.
