We stayed here one night during our road trip exploring the north island. We loved it, the owner are so friendly and welcoming, the place is green, beautiful and authentic we camped in our van but you can also rent a little hut or sleep in a dorm. Sharing kitchen and bathroom are great, there is even a library where you can relax and enjoy. Its a real little community where you meet traveler and have a good time for sure The owner even let us borrow some surfboard and wetsuit to enjoy the waves nearby.

At the "the Farm" campground in Whangaruru it's Hiki Bennett, Tara his wife, not to mention Rocky, 1 year old, my one-night guests. Immediately we feel good in this house complicit in their hospitality. The light is through, the rooms wide, furnished with a certain taste where wood dominates in all its forms, skilfully highlighted with a collection of very "vintage" objects. We are received with simplicity, in great freedom and certain generosity. This welcome from young Kiwis particularly marked me.
