    Strongly not recommended. My elderly father hired a furniture truck for the weekend Northland to Auckland back to Northland - got a puncture on Sunday - no after hours service - tried phoning Rent a Cheepy no answer and now the owner disputes that we even tried to call him -, no spare for rear wheels (which we were not told on hiring the truck)- only for front wheels which I will point out is not the correct size for the front which according to the owner is safe to drive back from Auckland to Whangarei with different size front wheels on a fully loaded truck -not legal I would have thought?. Had to wait until Monday - tyre not able to be repaired so we had to purchase a new tyre - owner of Rent A Cheepy refuses to re-imburse for the cost of a new tyre even though lady in the office had said they would re-imburse. The owner has no idea of the meaning of customer service siting "read the contract which says hirer is liable for damage to truck" "read your contract?" however they was no such contract given or any discussions of what is in the contract - or the fact that there are no spare tyres for the truck (at least of correct size). The owner is nothing but a bully who has absolutely no respect for his customers or the elderly or the inconvenience his lack of having the vehicle carrying adequate spare tyres - which I would have of thought is pretty standard for a hire company? Abhorent service. As people will see by the owners response he doesn't listen and is completely missing the point - do the right thing! - Do you tell customers upfront that your vehicles have no spare tyres? Would think that would be pretty important knowing the vehicle is travelling a long distance - Do you tell your customers about roadside assistance? - I would think this review is going to cost you a lot more than $120.00 ...For the record we did phone cell on Sunday at 2.41pm - there was no answer ,,,yet again great customer service!

    Great prices actually I miss the actual Owners of the business. The lady there was 1hr late to arrive & 45 minutes late for drop off unbelievable. We were very patient. Excuse was her legs, honestly stay farkn professional, I'm sure she's not all there or on something her behavior was of putting.

    DO NOT USE ! My elderly father hired a furniture truck for the weekend Sat- Northland to Auckland back to Northland on Monday Morning- I was the driver for my dad. On the Sunday we discovered we had a puncture, so proceeded to change with the spare attached to the vechicle. However, the spare was too small and unsafe to travel back to Far North. Mobile call was made on the Sunday with no response back from the funiture company - Screenshot Evidence of this call can be provided. While this funiture company does not cover for mishaps - you would only expect that the spare tyre attached to the funiture truck is the same size or at least safe to travel with a full load of funiture on a long trip If i knew that the spare on the truck was the wrong size to replace a puncture- Would I book this truck? Would you book the truck? While the Owner felt it was justified to refuse our refund for the tyre, he lacked any accountability for not providing a correct size trye for us to use to travel home safetly and the huge finiancal implications it had on myself and my partner due to not being home for our normal Monday obligtions we have to meet. If only we knew to ask them if the Spare tyre is ok to use in case of a puncture!!!!!!!!
