Tends to be a show rather than a mass. Starts with the welcomer reciting the names of the "cast" including the PC operator! The music seldom has anything to do with the actual liturgical calander and is more appropriate to a protestant Pentecostal revival meeting or a pub concert than a Roman Catholic Mass. The priests don't do reverent, change the words in the missal they don't like and the homily is pitched at the level of primary school kids. The "audience" applauds at the end of the "mass". The building is more like a theatre than a church. Kneelers do not exist. The Crucifix has been moved away from the alter where the priest is the centre of attention. There are two well-attended "catholic" schools in the parish, however there are few school age children at mass. Go figure!
