I have just had a knee replacement done by Kelly Vince and Mr Kuperus who did a fantastic job. I had seen Mr Vince and found him to be very obliging and a lovely caring man who obviously knows what he is doing. The staff at the hospital were very caring and helpful with a sense of humour added to make you laugh. Thank you all for your excellent work. Glenna Goodwin

I was admitted at 5am on 13/02 for one night and discharged late on 14/02. I was in the assessment unit and the staff were incredibly polite and went above and beyond to make sure myself and the other patients were comfortable. The nurses were courteous and intuitive, very much treating you like a fellow human being. Be nice to this bunch, theyre good sorts.

I give the whangarei hospital a 1 star, as I had a awful experience with a receptionist over the phone. This was like 2-3 months back; I had a message from the hospital ask to ring a nurse for my mum. My mother had came out of surgery due to her gallbladder infection. Then all of a sudden I was transferred to a receptionist was saying hello how can I help you. And I respond a friendly hello; I'm here to talk to one of the whangarei nurses to do with my mum's recovery from gallbladder. And all the receptionist said to me was "This will make me more harder as I am not giving enough information requiring to the nurse you want to call with your mums recovery". And her tone of voice sounded very stressed and rude because she added if my call was a scam or what-not. I got really angry had no chance but to end the call. Poor service from the receptionist at the Whangarei Hospital.
