WRMK Lawyers

On June 2019 I started a process with Andrew Easterbrook of WRMK to act for me in personal matters. After some discussions I engaged WRMK to act for me and met with Andrew Easterbrook. I subsequently received an account which was payed immediately. I thought was high and asked for a breakdown of the account. It transpired that WRMK had billed be for time spent before I had engaged them to act for me. I felt this was unfair and if they intended to do that they should have advised me of their intent to do so. My initial reply from WRMK was that the account was fair and because I had asked for a summary of the account I was not the sort of client they felt they wanted to work for and told to find another lawyer. I had in effect spend hard earned money for nothing. Despite a lengthy discussion with WRMK their position was in-trenched. In the end WRMK did not respond to my emails and I was left with no alternative but to make a formal complaint to the New Zealand Law Society. In December 2019 after an investigation of the complaint, WRMK offered to fully refund the invoice which they have done. I believe this option was to show that the parties had resolved the issue rather than run the risk of an unfavorable decision if the matter went any further. I found my experience with Andrew Easterbrook totally unprofessional and WRMKs unwillingness to resolve the matter fairly as unacceptable. I am grateful for the NZ Law Society as an advocate for the client. I would not recommend WRMK

I went to just complete a few signatures. I explained what I needed to do and was told that if I waited 5minutes someone would see me. 20 minutes later I walked out. If this is the way you run this business I am not impressed by your arrogance. I went to another business straight away and was seen immediately and treated in a personable manner.
