Top bloke Mike! My son and drove my Jeep Cherokee down from Kerikeri today for a possible gearbox fault because no one up here would touch it... He gave it a scan checked the fluid and gave it test run said scan was clear and everything was running as it should. I said no worries and il fix him up now for the scan and check Mike said its all good and no charge! So me and my young fella went down the road a bit and played some arcade games at the ten pin bowling a day we'll spent indeed. Thank you very much Mike and co @Transmissions Lab Whangarei. Excessive back lash , worn pinion bearings, and lsd not functioning. They slapped a pinion seal in (that I provided ) put a new nut on and forgot to spike it . Diff is exactly they same as before I sent to them sloppy lsd doesnt work charged for carrier bearings, pinion bearing and seal ,shining and setting pre load and back lash .all lies $1000 to put the seal in I all ready had and put a nut on . Ill f@&king wild .This company are a bunch of theives and liars. My kids are going hungry because of this con artist. Dont use this business!!!! Edit : just gone for a wof they have over tighten the carrier bearing cause rear wheel to bind backed off the brakes and brand new bearings wheel right wheel hard to turn . They refused any responsibly for poor workman ship his response was well I wasnt the one that did it still charged me and even promised to refund for the parts I supplied then didnt . This guys a lair and a theif. I now have to pay someone else to remove and rebuild the diff again . DO NOT TRUST this company !

With a major shortage of decent mechanics in Whangarei, Mike and Steve are the two I'll send anybody to without thinking twice, the wealth of knowledge these two have on new and old vehicles is staggering, and I think most of the reviews on this page reflect that, The one bad review about a diff head sounds like a massive misunderstanding and would have been better dealt with in person than on the internet, my personal experience with Mike has always been one of honesty, which he holds above all else and is what sets him aside to most businesses in automotive. As an ex mechanic I will send mine and my families car to him any day of the week and know the job will be done right.
