Absolutely brilliant experience. We brought five children, varying ages and little to no experience with horses. The children had a great time, and built up a lot of confidence by the end. A massive thanks to the team, and I would recommend Hare Hill Horse Treks for a unique experience.

Beautiful experience. All the staff was really fun and loved horses. They really cared about them and us too. We've got good talks while having a look on the best scenery. We also helped with the hey which was fun. Being surrounded with free living horses is always good and the trek was a nice experience as well. Going up and down hill was very exciting! The only thing I have to admit is, that experienced riders would probably expect more - for example going a bit faster. But well, we had fun so... Thanks team!

Coming from the UK, I had no idea of where I could go horse riding in NZ. Luckily for me a tourist information centre in Picton, gave me a leaflet. I promptly rang and booked with Oli, the owner. He couldnt have been more helpful. He picked me up from the port at Dunedin. I went for a 2 hour ride. Beautiful scenery and weather, a fabulous horse and the company of Cheryl. A very relaxing time. Thank you so much. It made my holiday. Best wishes

Daughter and I always try to find a horse riding experience when we go on holiday and cane across Hare Hill in Dunners. To be fair, I cant fault the horses and the experience of our guide but I think they should take the on line screening process a little more seriously. My daughter has been for professional riding classes for 3 years and Ive ridden horses most of my life since I was 5, being led along the beach front for almost 2 hours without being able to canter was a let down for us. A quick interview on arrival to establish if we know anything about horses or how long weve been riding would be a help then we can enjoy the experience we paid for. Also, the guide needs to be on her own horse and not be walking for the whole time. Not very user friendly. Sorry, but there is improvement needed.

Really disappointing. Reviewed website, checked availability and chose a basic ride with available places advertised. Phoned to negotiate cash payment which was not accommodated and when discussing time slot preference was told there were no available slots as horse riding lessons were on at the same time so not able to proceed as Oliver could not be in two places at once. Not a great way to encourage local patronage local patronage
