Better By Bike

Great bikes and great directions on some beautiful trails. We biked up to Gibbston Valley winery and got picked up, toons us about an hour but we weren't dawdling.

Excellent service and guiding. Although we got lost a couple of times, it was a magnificent experience on well maintained bikes. The four of us traipsed Lake Hayes with ease. Although we had one he man taking a standard bike, the rest of us took the e-bikes (Moustache brand) for a pleasant day out. Its worth the $

Highly recommend. Excellent company to deal with from the get go (inc. no issue requesting an x-large bike as we had a tall rider). Picked up on time from our hotel in Queenstown. Matt was friendly and helpfully provided recommendations for wineries to visit that day + things to do / places to eat whilst in Queenstown. Bikes were of excellent quality. Picked up from our chosen winery at the end of the day and dropped off at our hotel. Couldnt have asked for anything more.

I would rate our experience a 10, but the scale only goes up to 5. It was that good. The folks at Better By Bike (especially Charlotte) were wonderful. Just as amazing, is the bike trail itself, out to Wine Country. We scheduled personalized tasting at both Brennan and Mt Rosa. (Be sure to book these in advance.) For our three month adventure in NZ, this day was one of the highlights.

We had a great ride from Arrowtown up to the wineries and back with e-bikes rented from Better By Bike. The bikes all worked great, and service was fantastic. When we were about start riding again after a stop at the bungee bridge, we realized one of the bikes had a flat tire. We called the shop and they drove a new bike to us. We were on the trail again only 15 minutes after calling, allowing us to make our wine tasting reservations! Fabulous trail and cant go wrong renting from these folks.
