What an amazing experience! Stu was so patient, kind and very thorough with his demonstration and information about local panning. Willing to help out if you need it, but gives you the chance to master his technique yourself. We purchased the family package so we could all have a go, and we walked away with a fleck of gold in a bottle each. Kids loved it! Adults loved it! Highly recommend this activity if you're in the area.

These guys were fantastic. They helped me to create an awesome and magical experience for my 5-year-old where he 'panned' for some gold (that I had pre-purchased from the Gold Shop). He was so stoked! The magic of it was real. Thank you so much!

Was looking forward to this but left very disappointed. We had a very rushed tutorial of how to pan and some vague directions (no map or anything) and sent on our way. We were told they were short staffed which we know can't be helped, though the man that served us was friendly. Have no idea if we were even looking in the right place or not but found nothing. Shop is lovely though.

Such a gorgeous little shop! Selling lots of lovely NZ products, we did some gold panning and struck some gold! Well worth the visit
