A very nice trail sometimes not easy because of steep and slippery parts, but easy to find. No problem with plants or bush. We had a rain just before start, so shoes and trousers get a little wet from the gras. We had great views on the mountains and to arrow river. Best of all, we are almost alone Takes 3h ( 8,3 km )for the loop from Arowtown.

This track is very poorly maintained. It was overgrown with weeds and bushes, which made it hard and even dangerous to walk on the narrow and rocky path. I had to put my arms out in front of me for at least an hour of the walk just to push branches out of my way, all the while clambering down rocks and having my feet get caught in long grass across the path. Im surprised at the state of this walk, given that this is advertised on the Wakatipu Walks brochure issued by DOC. Dont try this unless youre experienced in trekking and want to get up close and personal with the plants here, literally. I got a long deep cut on my forearm from one of the branches. The view in my photo was from one end of this track that begins at Tobins Track, before you get to the crazy mess of overgrown plants.
