Lauder Store Accommodation

I stayed at the Lauder Store while doing the Otago Rail Trail. The building is lovely and clean, with a nice big bathroom (loved the Marilyn Monroe shower curtain!!!) and I really liked that we had our own little lounge kitchen and bedrooms that were shut away by a lockable door. Pam and Bruce are welcoming and we had a lovely convo with Bruce in the morning. My only qualms are that there wasnt enough toast for 4 of us, the bed sheets were a bit starchy and we would have liked to be advised of the travel fee to be transported to dinner, beforehand. However the cost is cheap and was of course it was ok with us. Thank you

Pam and Bruce and very welcoming and generous. Had a lovely banana cake ready for us. Beds are really comfortable with electric blankets, showers hot with great pressure. Accomodation has lovely decor and spotlessly clean and tidy. We have had 2 winter breaks at Lauder Store and loved both. Amazing countryside, lots of lovely places around to eat at or walk to. Fantastic place for a summer or winter break.

In late march we stayed for two nights at the lauder store accomodation while on the rail trail and five week south island road trip. Out of the 20 or so places we stayed i happily rate this one the best! A lovely place with great hosts, Bruce and Pam. Everything you need is here, including a comfy bed, our own bathroom and lovely continental breaky. We cooked in the kitchen one night then dined at the pub accross the next and enjoyed chatting with the friendly locals. A great set up for singles, couples or groups.
