I have been training under Heather and Hamish for about a year now and am getting stronger and fitter every week. Prior to joining the Lifestyle Block I was ready to give up on gyms as I was plagued with so many injuries. They have helped me to overcome injuries that I had been stuck with for years, and have also unobtrusively helped me to see other areas of my life that have needed changing in order to create more balance. I really couldn't recommend them more highly.

Heather and Hamish are great. Work outs are clear easy to follow and always adjusting as you achieve your goal. Best place in central to get the correct technique in both lower level movement and the more complex. Always leave the work out feeling motivated & confident.

I have suffered over the years with a multitude of injuries and now Im getting on a bit (47), historic injuries and some more recent simply dont come right.. I have had to give up my 20 + years of practicing yoga due to the injuries, which was heart breaking but was doing more harm that good in the end; I realised quickly I needed to replace it with something to keep up my mobility and strength. I was anxious about starting with strength training as I had attended gyms previously where I sustained further injuries (definitely not the goal) and hated every minute of the session, but as soon as I started with Heather those anxieties quickly dispersed. Heather is meticulous with her attention to detail and technique, understanding the importance of getting this right in order to achieve results and avoid injury. Heather radiates calm and balance and I often leave the session feeling like Ive been in therapy! I am always challenged in my work outs and Heather has a skill in judging my motivation levels and tailors the session to suit my ability for that day, always considering my injuries. I ALWAYS feel listened to and know that the key factor in Heathers training is in listening to the body and to teach us this art of doing so too. I cant recommend Heather highly enough, my body is feeling stronger by the week and I feel so energised after my Friday morning session, what better way to begin the weekend?!
