    Try to return the car to here in a working day during working hours. Drive to here, found a note stick on the door said no one work here today, please return car to the airport to hertz. There's no notification about the office close in prior. No one email or call us about it. Hope they can organise the office hour shifting better in the future, don't surprise the customer in the last minute.

    Terrible service!! Paid a deposit before being allowed to collect the car. On returning the vehicle were told that we would have to apply to have the deposit returned? We have emailed and called to enquire where our money is and have been flogged around to the point that their phone goes no where etc! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

    Although the pricing was very good, the dropoff point was closed so had to drop off at Hertz at airport (which was a hassle. Car could have been cleaned better before being picked up.

    Ive rented 5 times in NZ from different companies, and the recent one with ACE is the worst ever. Here are the reasons: 1: the staff who dealt with my car pickup is deceitful. The rental booking was from a third party company airport rental and a full insurance was purchased at the same time when I made the booking. From my previous experiences, the staffs from other companies were all well aware of it, they just told me, your insurance is not with us, so if anything happens you need to go to the insurance company. So I know the car rental companies can see my full insurance has already been purchased. However, the staff from ACE didnt mention it at all, and 7-8 months after I made the booking, I dont really remember if I bought full insurance or not. He tried to persuade me to purchase a full insurance from ACE again. I then spent some time digging out some old emails to make sure my car was fully protected. 2: the car they provided was the worse. Can you imagine a car in 2023, you need to use the car key first, then push the unlock button, then the other doors can be opened finally. And the tank reading is very misleading, sometimes even get higher when you drive for a while. 3: the return procedure is VERY unclear! The stall just told me to return the car at Queenstown airport ACE. So I Google mapped ACE Queenstown airport, when I got there, it was closed already and no one was there to drive us to the airport, only a return box at the door. So I called to ask how can we go to airport after return the key, a lady told me to drive to the airport, they have a parking lot. When I got there, no sign of ACE at all! I called again, she told me to park under Herts and they are the same company. I dont understand why no one told me before? Why they assume people know all these? What if people are in a hurry to catch a flight, how stressful they can be? Anyway, will never use ACE again, worse experience ever!
