If you set off up this track then you should at least commit to making it half way to Rock Peak, as it is not worth setting off otherwise. If you do go that far then you will get views of the Gibbston Valley and also over the Crown Range. You might need to set aside an hour. Almost everybody gives up after 10-15 minutes and I imagine would be disappointed with the experience.
