This is a lovely stop if you are pottering around between Alexandra and Queenstown. It's easy to pull into with ample parking. It has a great platform to view the station and the rapid water running through this narrow bend in the river. The historical significance of such a site as one of the early hydro-electric generators and its connection with gold mining. It gives one an appreciation of how these parts of New Zealand developed. A stop which adds variety along the road in between fresh fruit, vineyards and bathing in the lake.
