We loved our stay at the Eco Lodge! I highly recommend and would hope to stay there again. We spent three nights in Glenorchy. The team was amazing. The cottages were beautiful and inspiring. The composting toilets so well done, the solar, rain water, etc. The breakfast and dinner were very well done! It was wonderful to be out of the city and surrounded by the mountains.

What a unique and fantastic place, by far the best dinner I have had in many years! My friends and I made a booking last week to try out the Chefs Choice 5-course meal. We were warmly greeted by owner/manager John and his team and had a little tour of the Eco Lodge before making ourself comfortable in the beautifully decorated dining area. Simon and Dominic were at the controls in the open kitchen they took a moment to introduce themselves, which I thought was a very friendly gesture despite having to deal with food preparation duties. Not only was every single dish impeccably dressed and presented but the overall delivery from the entre to the dessert was just phenomenal: local produce featured heavily in the menu, the entres were fresh and delicious whilst the main course was most tasty and full of delectable flavors (the beef cheek croquette was my personal highlight!). As far as the dessert was concerned, it ticked all the boxes and was the perfect final note to an amazing service. Being newly established in Glenorchy, I wish John and his skillful team all the very best for the future and do hope that many local residents and patrons from the wider Southern Lakes District will also treat themselves and support the hard work that the community have put to provide an unforgettable culinary experience in a welcoming and cosy environment. Definitely a strong contender for the 2023 Whakatipus Michelin Star! Food & drinks: Plentiful
