The Vicarage

Beautiful Victorian house with a long history, Jacqui was an amazing host and recommended us really nice places and interesting spots to go around Oamaru, Very recommended B&B. We were greeted with cold beer and wine, and felt like we arrived home after a long day driving. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. Very satisfied. Rooms: Beautiful Victorian rooms with high ceilings that made you feel part of the history of Oamaru

We stayed in the magnolia room. This is a spacious room with windows on 2 sides and the bedroom does not have another room immediately adjacent so it felt quite private. I recommend this room (I didnt see any others but liked this one a lot) The garden view was lovely. The host (Jacqui ) was very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was just the thing to get the day going. A top spot when visiting Oamaru. The furnishings were very nice and the main lounge was delightfully decorated and welcoming. The wine or beer on arrival and afternoon tea was a nice touch.

The Vicarage is a grand Edwardian house that is decorated & furnished to a high standard. It is also well located for exploring this characterful town. But what really makes the Vicarage exceptional is the thoughtfulness, welcome & charm of the host: Quite simply, Jacqui is a gem. She is so friendly, helpful & brilliant at her job it was a disappointment to have to leave!
