William of Wykeham created a proverb about manners making the man (person). I walked into the highly rated cheese shop to be greeted with nothing. No hello, no Kia Ora, no bonjour, just silence. My wife was keen on buying many of their products. She had to ask for a slither of a sample and was only given a piece begrudgingly. By this point I had seen enough of lack of customer CARE the young girl too busy cleaning and the older lady more intent of closing the shop so we walked quietly away. Thankfully not having spent a cent.
Just a little nod, smile, hello would have been sufficient. However, no customer care.
I would like to think that improvements could be made.
Manners does indeed make a person.
