        I enjoyed this walk for its serenity. We also spotted a group of fern birds amongst the manuka trees by the boardwalk so that was pretty cool. You can also see wee little crabs scuttling about in the mud from the boardwalk.

        I heard Fernbirds!!!! I also saw reeds moving strangely, so I saw evidence of Fernbird too.

        Short walk through regrowth Bush to estuary boardwalk. Not much in the way of trees or birdlife. Didn't see any estuary birds just a little crab in one of the many muddy footprints where people have gone off the boardwalk. Turnoff is just before Fleming river bridge short shingle road limited turning not recommended for campervans
