I was in Roxburgh health camp late 1949 early 1950. Awful awful experience. Can still taste the sand soap that my mouth was washed out with for saying dunny. Locked in linen closet because I didn't sleep in the afternoon (scratching impetigo) Best part was having whooping cough and being isolated with another girl in matrons quarters and left alone 6 year olds pretty much all day!

It was horrible and the staff lied about the situations and bullying in reports. Wish I'd never been.
