        Sadly the freedom camping is officially closed all on 8th December with $200 fine. Spoke with the ranger and closest freedom camping side is 40mins drive towards Glenorchy

        Sadly (or happily) the DOC has closed off most of the car park, leaving around 3 spaces-you have to be lucky to get a spot. Beautiful lake views, especially during sunset.
