It was wonderful working with Petra from Thrifty tours. She helped plan my itinerary exactly the way I had wanted. Everything from the shuttle transfers, accommodations, to all the activities, the trip went uninterrupted and smooth leaving me with beautiful memories to cherish for lifetime. Thank you once again!

I have traveled to New Zealand from San Francisco in March 2023 and my trip on South Island was organized by Carly Baker from Thrifty Tours. I am extremely pleased with the service I received. Carly was very responsive to my preferences and we made most of of the arrangements by phone (she would call me to my US number). She was kind and very reliable. The hotels and transport were perfect. The guides knowledgeable and kind. I have only words of praise for Carly and the Thrifty Tours. I would use their services again.

Every part of the tour was excellent. Louise was incredibly supportive and accommodated changes we asked for. We will definitely use Thrifty Tours for any future New Zealand trip.

Angela Winton from Thrifty Tours booked a tour through the South Island of New Zealand for me, my husband and our daughter from 10 April - 18 April. Included was a 5 day tour from Christchurch, to Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford Sound and Mt Cook and back to Christchurch. We never had to worry about being picked up at our destination or transported to the place of departure during the whole tour. Our accommodation was excellent with friendly hosts all the way and always within reach of pick up points, restaurants and places of interest. The transportation was very good and excelled our expectations. We enjoyed every minute of our tour and realize that this could only have been accomplished through the professional way Angela booked and arranged everything for us. Our tour was a collection of day tours and accommodation booked for us which we didnt realise when we booked. Each day was arranged with a different company. Overall we had a great few days, with an unexpected, rather uncomfortable experience being on the first day. The itinerary did not prepare us for a 10 kms walk at Mt Cook. So we were really unprepared wearing the wrong clothes for walking. After that we had to rush eating our lunch, walk a further steep hill from the visitors centre, and then had to transfer to a very full, hot and uncomfortable minibus. We were squeezed in for the rest of the drive to Queenstown, sore from our extra long walk. We were so relieved to get to our accommodation that night in Queenstown which was great. Everything went fairly smoothly, comfortably, and according to time, after that. The scenery was spectacular every day.
