We came here for dinner for our wedding anniversary. Klaudia served us most of the night and was an excellent waitress - knowledgeable and very friendly. We were offered a complementary beverage for our occasion, which we were pleasantly surprised with. The scotch fillet was cooked to perfection, it was melt in the mouth tender. We tried some of the recommended cocktails for dessert and they were well made and delicious. Breakfast in the morning was good too. Thanks! We hope to be back soon.

Stayed at Fable hotel and were unfortunate to have arrived too late for dinner, however we were so excited to wake up early to try the breakfast there. Got there at 7:30am (place was empty) and quickly ordered a coffee, hot chocolate, French toast and an eggs benedict. The coffee and hot chocolate were quite good and thoroughly enjoyed these. However, the food left quite a bit to be desired (especially considering the hype around the food for dinner etc.). The eggs benedict (vegetarian) came with two slices of bread, 2 poached eggs, spinach (to replace bacon) and sauce, now whilst there was nothing wrong per say regarding the meal, it felt very underwhelming, especially considering the price of $24 and how small the serving size was. The French toast came as two slices of bread, with a banana with skin on (assuming frozen and cut in half) with some maple and blobs of curd. All dishes came literally as detailed so no faults there, but wouldn't say it's worth it, nor worthy of being Fable hotels breakfast place. Taste wise it was okay, nothing special in any regards. If you're looking for breakfast options, there are plenty of other good cafes around Dunedin within walking distance.
