In my experience, these walking tours can be a bit hit and miss... Athol's love and passion for his city are a fundamental part of his approach, and come shining through on the journey. He is kind, friendly and knowledgeable it's a "must do" when visiting Dunedin.

Had a most enjoyable and informative walk with our guide Wendy Dalley. Recommended, especially as a far more authentic and educational experience than expensive and gimmicky shore excursions for cruise passengers!

We had the most marvelous walk around Dunedin with Athol - it was fascinating and we really enjoyed it. He is a delightful person with a great delivery. He is both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. The tour actually provided an excellent grounding for our visit to the Settler's Museum. We were able to put the exhibits in context more effectively courtesy of his tour. It was a great walk and I can't recommend City Walks highly enough. Athol also provided useful tips on what else to see and do in Dunedin which we really appreciated as we only there for a very short period.
